Chapel Arts Series

Spend a musical afternoon at the Chapel

Every year, the Chapel Arts Series showcases some of the best musical talent from the Sarasota area and beyond.

Sunday, November 6 at 4 p.m. the professional choral ensemble Gloria Musicae will present a program “Viva España,” a Spanish-inspired program featuring sopranos Jenny Kim-Godfrey and Nicole Smith, and guitarist Jonathan Godfrey.  The
ensemble is directed by Dr. Joseph Holt. This is a ticketed event sponsored by Gloria Musicae. Tickets are available to the general public at, or by calling 941-387-6046.  Tickets are also available at the door theday of the concert.

Sunday, December 11 at our 10:00 a.m. worship service, a Service of Nine Lessons and
Carols will be presented by our Chapel Choir, accompanied by Musicians-Out-of-the-Box strings and organ. This is an annual presentation at Siesta Key Chapel with sung anthems,
carols, and readings of the Nativity. This service is free and open to the public.

Sunday, February 19, 2017 the dedication service for the new Chapel Schantz pipe organ will be held during the 11:00 a.m. service.  The service will include anthems, hymns, and
special organ music played by Music Director-Organist Cynthia Roberts-Greene.  The Revelry Brass, a brass quintet comprised of the principal brass players of the Sarasota
Orchestra, will accompany the choir and the new star, the Schantz pipe organ! This is a once-in-a-lifetime event, so come one and all!

Tuesday, March 7 at 7 p.m.,
internationally-renowned concert organist Chelsea Chen will present an inaugural organ recital on the Chapel’s new Schantz pipe organ.

With playing described as “stunning” and possessing “lovely lyrical grandeur” (Los
Angeles Times), Chelsea Chen has electrified audiences throughout the United
States and Asia.

A Fulbright scholar and graduate of Juilliard and Yale University, she has performed to great acclaim at many important venues including Singapore’s Esplanade, Hong Kong’s Cultural Centre, Philadelphia’s Kimmel Center, and Los Angeles’ Disney Hall.  She currently serves as
